Silk flower, dried flower

This piece, an earlier exploration in my work, brings a new life form to my fingertips, crafted with silk flowers, decoden, and other non-organic materials. By creating a beauty that resists wilting, I aimed to capture an enduring essence that bridges my previous floral installations and arrangements with a wearable form. Unlike later pieces made with fresh blooms, this design preserves nature’s beauty in a timeless way, embodying a constant presence that doesn’t fade.

Inspired by the bonsai and floral displays at the Guazuo Flower Market in Taipei, this piece uses unconventional materials to blend nature and art into a hybrid extension of myself. The work is a layered tribute to past creations, merging fragments from different times and places into a shared space on my nails—a testament to both natural beauty and its reinterpretation through art.
